BeyondHeadlines News Desk

Chennai: V Dekal, the doctor who performed autopsy of Sadiq Batcha, realtor and associate of former communications minister A. Raja, has been refused resignation. Dekal wanted to contest elections and had hence offered to resign.

The governed has cited inadequacy of staffs as a reason for refusal. A Elango, resident medial officer at Government Royapettah Hospital, said: ‘Dekal had submitted his resignation March 3, much before the post-mortem (of Batcha). The government has declined to accept his resignation citing scarcity of staff. He is expected to report to duty Tuesday.’
