New Delhi: Student organisations from the city have pledged their full support to the social activist Anna Hazare who has gone for fast-unto-death since yesterday with his demands over the ratification of Lokpal Bill and giving it prosecuting powers.

Hazare was dismayed after the prime minister refused to include activists in the joint committee to draft the Bill. A four-member delegation of the students of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, reached Jantar Mantar last evening to support the fast-unto-death drive again corruption launched by veteran social activist Anna Hazare. The delegation comprised of Syed Ali Akhtar of Yuva Koshish, Malike Astar, a journalist with Tehran Radio, Ghufran Khan of Khudai Khidmatgar and social activist Mohit Singh.

The delegation met Anna Hazare and Swami Agnivesh who were sitting on fast-unto-death and supported the initiative on behalf of the students of Jamia Millia Islamia. The delegation assured them to extend full support of the student community of the varsity.
