PEOPLE UNITED SHALL NEVER BE DEFEATED

Dear Reader,

It is with great enthusiasm that we announce The 2012 edition of  DDUCMUN, one  memorable event that promises to be a cherished and learning experience from start to end. The event will be spread over two days i.e. Sept. 1st & 2nd where delegates from all over India will COME and DISCUSS the CHANGE they want to see in the world. In the first of its international endeavors in 2011, The Model UN CLUB was honored to have attracted over 400 undergraduate and school students from over 7 countries.

The event is a plateau for newcomers in the world of MUN to believe that peace can be true and for the veterans to enter in an open dialogue on complex global issues including socioeconomic progress and international peace. It arrays the intellect of many to beam powerful policies that reflect upon the change, foreseen.

At DDUCMUN 2012, delegates will gain an insight to the workings of the United Nations and the dynamics of international relations by assuming the roles of UN representatives and members of other international bodies and national cabinets. This is an exciting opportunity for one and all to draft resolutions in response to the global issues and envisage an approachable, modern yet realistic global scenario.

As Maria Robinson quotes “Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending”, we at DDUC welcome you all to initiate the change because after all the smallest decisions can change our lives forever.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Secretary General, Srishti Kapoor promises “to hold an event greater than ever before, matching the high standards of our previous conferences and beyond as the World awaits its leaders of tomorrow. COME, DISCUSS, CHANGE!”

THE MODEL UN CLUB,
DEEN DAYAL UPADHYAY COLLEGE,
