Aurangabad: Tajul Islam, a 38 year old youth from Aurangabad, Maharashtra, a software engineer by profession who was presently working in Hyderabad got arrested by the Mumbai ATS in the case of Mumbai Ghatkoper bomb blast of 2002.

According to details in the year 2002 a bomb blast was took place in the BEST Bus of Mumbai for that police arrested Dr. Mateen, Syed Muzammil, Shaikh Zaheer of Aurangabad and Khwaja Yunus of Parbhani.  During the investigation Khwaja Yunus died in the police custody and others got acquitted after several years. Now in details of the present arrest Taj was arrested on the night of Wednesday from his house situated at Tolichawki, Hyderabad by Mumbai ATS. Tajul Islam was working as the software engineer in Hyderabad, done his graduation in electronics from JNEC college, Aurangabad. Taj got married 6 yrs before and had 4 children.

Taj was presented before the session court on Nov 23 and got police custody upto 3rdDecmber.

MY SON IS INNOCENT – MOTHER

When spoke with the family members of Taj, we came to know that from 2002 they didn’t got a single legal notice from police regarding this case, if police had informed us earlier we would approached to them.

One member of his family with reference to his mother told that her son is innocent and we are astonished on the arrest of the incident which took place 10 years before.

On 7 December Dr. Mateen will be in the court as a witness!

It is to be clear that 17 youths were got victimized for the 2002 ghatkopar blast case from which all those who were in the police custody got acquitted, but in the same case a judgment is about to come in near on the custodial death of Khwaja Yunus in which Dr. Mateen will be as a witness on December 7, But beyond these situations as arrest of Muslim youth after 10 yrs raises many questions.
