Yamani Bin Zubair for BeyondHeadlines

A Futuristic Approach to the present-Meet the Simple yet Powerful Entrepreneur of our times. 38 year old Irfan Aziz, born in bhongir, Andhra Pradesh brought up in India; a double MBA from London has his dreams set on the right track. His ancestral lineage includes notable advocates, His father M.A Akhil a highly reputed attorney in the high court of AP, His grandfather Late Mr Md Aleemuddin also an attorney, Sahakara Bhushan Awardee who was personally awarded by the president for his services in various fields. This helped him inculcate impeccable quality of values possessed by intelligence and necessity.

IRFAN AZIZ : Entrepreneur with Big HeartHis educational qualifications include masters in business management from a B-school run by AIG; this triggered a passion in him to start working as a marketing executive in the States. Working meticulously in marketing helped him grow professionally and become one of the most sought after directors of business development in the corporate world. Armed with his concerted efforts he assisted Dr. Vijayunni (IAS and former Census commissioner of India) in caste census back in 2011 which is still benefiting many families below poverty line till date. His assistance to Mr K Rehman khan (minorities’ affairs minister) gave him a chance to discuss the 12th five year budget plan for minorities and Muslim MP’s cutting across party lines, he played a vital role in acquiring the approval of the commissionarate. He had reformed Women SGH groups in Andhra Pradesh with the help of Mr. S.P Tucker IAS, Principal Secretary, Planning.

When he’s not spearheading divergent teams he usually prefers to sweat it out on the cricket field. He holds the membership of “Dorking Cricket Club” in Surrey, U.K. He has captained the Indian blues team in six nation diversity cup in Detroit, USA back in 2008.  With reasonable quantity of accomplishments in a short time he can surely be misjudged to be flamboyant; reality has a different story to tell. You’d feel suitably humble in his company; he holds an aura of honesty and his simplicity combined with an outright attitude will leave you enchanted.

So what made him leave States and come back to India?

As Irfan says and I quote “Leaving a high paid corporate job and giving back to my country which has given me so much was the least I could do”, pat comes the reply from his beaming face. He continues, ”When I joined marketing I was sure as to what to expect from life, It isn’t a piece of cake even if you hail from a high profile family, you have to make our own mark in the society and that’s what I did”.

After getting his Masters degree in business administration he worked in different organizations, spearheading them, often learning from them and contributing in a big way, but some where he felt unsatisfied with the way things were. From winning one of the biggest engagements in animation from Mother’s Garden INC, California, A contract worth a whopping 5 million (which is expected to grow to 50 million USD in the years to come) to leading the sales team and acquiring a contract as the sole provider for The Directorate of Information and Research in Texas (US) for a MNC is one of his many achievements. Irfan seems to have acquired the perfect aptitude for obtaining intricate proposals, proving himself time and time again.

So, what does he want to do after moving down to India? “Every man has to keep on moving through life and that’s what I did”, is what he says about his decision to return to India even though doing great overseas. “It’s just a selfless gesture from my side. Doing something for my country is the least thing I can do from my side, I have moved here for good, the hurdles and problems that I went through I don’t want anyone else to go through and with the aim of helping people in my country I came back. I have planned to open a group of educational institution which is almost done under the name of “Adeen Educational Trust” which aims to impart knowledge and education among the needy ones.” He says with conviction.

Today we live in a world where superheroes are a work of fiction, in times of dire situations we wish one existed single minute. What we need are men who can change the world and strive to make it a better place and Irfan seems promising. He knows where he’s comes from, but more importantly where he wants to take us.
