Congress Factions Clash and Assault Each Other in Aurangabad Over Party Tickets

AURANGABAD:  Many congress workers were severely injured when two groups fought at congress bhavan in Aurangabad in a meeting which was organised to assess the mood of the congress workers in deciding the party’s candidate for the Lok Sabha seat. Maharashtra Pradesh congress committee had deputed two observers for the meet when the supporters of the two aspiring candidates.

Uttam Singh Pawar and Nitin Patil started shouting slogans in the favour of their leaders… Later it turned into an open to all… with supporters from both sides clashing with each other… even as the observers were whisked away from the back door… many congress workers sustained injuries in the clash…
