EC Finds Over 3 lakh Fake Voters in Varanasi, WPI asks Modi to Resign

BeyondHeadlines News Desk

Over three lakh fake voters who voted in last Lok Sabha Elections in Varanasi were identified by the Election Commission (EC). With this stunning revelation, the Welfare Party of India (WPI) asked Prime Minster Narendra Modi to resign.

The EC traced 3,11,057 fake voters who casted their votes in Varanasi in the recently held Lok Sabha elections. The EC officials have found out this in their household level constituency check.

Reacting on the stunning revelation, Welfare Party General Secretary P.C. Hamza said it “is shocking and a shame” on the democracy.

“The Varanasi District administration expects the number of fake voters might reach above six lakhs when the verification process will be over,” Mr. Hamza said.

“A high level and impartial investigation has to be announced at once. There is something fishy in the episode and to ensure transparent and fair investigation, Mr. Narendra Modi must resign on moral grounds.

“Mr. Narendra Modi had won election from the seat with a margin of 3,71,784 votes defeating Arvind Kejriwal of Aam Admi Party,” he demanded in a press statement.
