The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Wednesday declared the results of the Civil Services 2016 examinations. NANDANI K R has secured the top position in UPSC civil services examination 2016. ANMOL SHER SINGH BEDI and SAUMYA PANDEY came second and third respectively in the examination.
A total of 1099 candidates have been recommended for appointment including 500 General (including 35 Physically challenged candidates), 347 Other Backward Classes (including 09 Physically challenged candidates), 163 Scheduled Castes and 89 Scheduled Tribes candidates.
BeyondHeadlines also tried to collect all Muslim names from the UPSC result 2016 which has come today.
It is pleasing that nearly 50 successful candidates are Muslims and of them in top hundreds are only 09 candidates. According to this list of 1099 candidates, 50 are Muslims which means that stands 4.54%. Last year, 37 Muslim candidates were successful in the UPSC examination out of 1078 who qualified.
