Bangalore, Karnataka: In the wake of continued crisis and dissidence within the party’s state unit, BJP National President Nitin Gadkari has summoned Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa to New Delhi.

The CM is expected to fly to Delhi tomorrow evening in a special flight after taking part in an official programme in Kodagu district tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, the group of dissidents, who have been camping in Delhi for the past couple of days pressing for a leadership change, is expected to return to Bangalore tonight.

According to sources, the dissidents led by State BJP President K.S. Eshwarappa met almost all top leaders of the party during their camp in Delhi and exerted pressure on them for replacing Yeddyurappa as the CM, whom they alleged had tarnished the party’s image by being embroiled in a series of corruption and nepotism charges.

These leaders gave a patient hearing to the dissidents group, the sources added.

The dissident group is thinking of sending Ministers and Legislators in batches to Delhi as part of its strategy to oust Yeddyurappa, it is learnt.

The dissident leaders led by K.S. Eshwarappa and MP Ananthkumar met senior party leaders L.K. Advani and Arun Jaitley today. They are scheduled to meet Opposition leader in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj later in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yeddyurappa, who will be visiting Kodagu district tomorrow, will pass through Mysore city on his way to Bangalore, it is learnt.

The State BJP in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan will be arriving in Bangalore from Delhi tonight along with Eshwara- ppa and will start meeting BJP leaders of the State from tomorrow, in the wake of increasing dissident activities within the

State Unit of the BJP, according to sources.
