New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology – Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) 2011 results for admission into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have been declared on today.
Prithvi Teja from Hyderabad is the IIT-JEE 2011 topper followed by Shashank Jain of Delhi. More than 4.85 lakh students appeared for the IIT-JEE this year.
The results are available on the JEE website, http://jee.iitd.ac.in/result.php. The results are also available at the notice boards of all the IITs, viz., IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Mumbai, IIT Chennai, IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee. Candidates can also avail their results by calling up the IIT-JEE helpline numbers set up at every IIT.
IIT Kanpur, the nodal agency organising the IIT JEE this year, have declared that online counseling will be available for all students. The admissions for the 9,600 seats offered by the IITs will be held in two rounds.
IIT Kanpur has also withhold the results of 30 candidates caught cheating at an examination centre in Bathinda.
