Indian pair of Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupati bows out of the second round of Men’s Doubles at Wimbledon with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-7, 4-6 loss to French-Czech pair of Arnaud Clement and Lukas Dlouhy.

After registering an easy win in the first set, Paes and Bhupati were broken twice in the next set to make it even and then their opponents got better of them in the third set in a tie-breaker.

Paes and Bhupati began the final set on a bad note as they dropped serve in the very first game. This early lead was enough for Clement and Dlouhy to clinch the match.

The India pair ouster from Doubles event leaves Somdev Devvurman, the only Indian in the Men’s Doubles event. Devvurman and his doubles partner Kei Nishikori will play their game on Monday.

Paes,Bhupati and Bopanna are yet to play their first matches of the mixed doubles event.
