New Delhi: Ahead of of the July 3 all-party meeting called by the government on the much talked Lokpal Bill, Anna Hazare today met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Delhi. Hazare has been meeting leaders across the political spectrum in a bid to garner support for the Lokpal Bill.

“Nitish Kumar has already implemented some of the clauses we want included in the Lokpal Bill,” said Hazare.

Nitish Kumar remained non-committal on backing Team Anna, saying he would first go through the draft and discuss it with his party before disclosing his stand. But said he will attend the all-party meeting on July 3.

“I will tell the stand taken by us after studying the draft and discussing with party members and allies. The government has called for an all party meeting, before that there will be a discussion within our party,” said Nitish Kumar.

Hazare will also be meeting CPI’s AB Bardhan later today. Hazare’s meeting with Sonia Gandhi has been pushed to Saturday. The Congress President, sources say, has prior commitments.

Sonia will be meeting Anna just days after the Prime Minister said he was keen to keep the dialogue with civil society groups open.

Anna Hazare is reaching out to all political parties to garner support before the all-party meeting on Lokpal.

He met the CPM’a Prakash Karat and RLD’s Ajit Singh on Wednesday. He is slotted to meet BJP’s Arun Jaitley on June 24.
