New Delhi: Senior BJP leader and leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj is shocked over TV channels going board to highlight her dancing at the Rajghat during BJP’s protest yesterday. She is apparently upset by remarks made by some Congress leaders as well.
Swaraj wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter, “shocked that this (dancing) is the sole clipping picked up as representative visual of the Satyagraha. It is the tradition of our party that we sing patriotic songs during all our protests.”
Both Jandardan DIvedi and Digvijay Singh ahd attacked her for dancing at the Rajghat where “garlands and flowers are led in respect.” Singh had gone further calling BJP a “party of dancers.”
In another tweet Swaraj wrote, “Hum deshbakt log hain. Apni zindagi ki akhri saans tak hum deshbakti ke geet gayenge bhi, un pr jhoomenge bhi aur nachenge bhi (we are patriotic people, till last breath we sing patriotic songs and dance over its tunes. )
