Dear Mr. P. Chidambaram,

May I draw your kind attention towards the proposed rally on 3rd of March 2012, purportedly by some Muslims and inspired by a foreign based organisation having its website with the name of www.shariah4hind.com.

The contents posted on the website are highly inflammatory and needs urgent attention. The purpose of the proposed rally as mentioned on the website is to gherao Indian Parliament; to instigate the Indian Muslims to rise for implementation of Shariah Laws; to discard Indian constitution; to rally to rise and unite the Indian subcontinent under Islamic governance and complete rejection of the Indian constitution.

The hate mongers claims that in the proposed rally they would also target Indian politicians and issue a fatwa against political parties and Indian politicians including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress leader Mr. Rahul Gandhi, BJP leaders Mr. L K Advani and Mr. Narendra Modi besides issuing a fatwa against the Indian constitution.

The pictures posted on the website are also highly inflammatory and conveys the message of hate and a challenge to the Indian State.

The official program of the rally also includes information about the address by Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammad, leader of Al-Muhajiroun through video conferencing and also  by Abu Baraa, Chairman for Shariah4Hind and Sheikh Anjem Choudary, Judge of the Shariah Court of UK in presence.  You might be aware that Sheikh Omar Bakri is the same person who was expelled from UK for openly advocating Jihad and implementation of Sharia laws in Britain and also for advocating terror strikes.

I wonder why the Delhi Police has given permission to any organization which openly challenges the basic character of Indian constitution, incite its citizens to revolt against state and also why the Indian High Commission in UK had granted visas to Abu Baraa, Chairman for Shariah4Hind and to Sheikh Anjem Choudary without a proper verification of the background of the two.  Interestingly the website of Shariah4Hind claims that the Press Conference on 2nd March would also be addressed by a Hindu convert to Islam.

The whole purpose of the website and the proposed rally seems to create chaos, animosity and discord between different communities and they have been successful in their mission as the first group to take notice of their activities and website are the people associated with Bhagat Singh Kranti Dal who have filed a PIL in Delhi High Court (as per the information available on website). It is interesting to mention that Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, the President of Bhagat Singh Kranti Dal was arrested for attack on Advocate Prashant Bhushan recently and some other members of the organisation were booked for attacking Muslims who have came to attend a rally of Popular Front of India at New Delhi railway station around two months back.

In light of the above, I earnestly request you kindly order the cancellation of the permission, if any, given to the organisors of the proposed rally on 3rd of March 2012 and use your good office for advising the Ministry of Telecommunication to immediately block the website of the Shariah4Hind;  order investigation to locate the origin of the website as the site also contains the contact numbers of the office bearers of the organisation;  advising the MEA to urgently revoke the visa issued to Abu Baraa, Chairman for Shariah4Hind and Sheikh Anjem Choudary and ban their entry to India.

Also it is matter of investigation that if no such visas are issued, no permission is given for a march to Parliament on 3rd of March 2012 and no such organisation exist as claimed on the website, than how Bhagat Singh Kranti Dal came to know about the organisation, website and its contents and the real motives of the propaganda behind it.

With kind regards

Navaid Hamid
