India began their tour with a win in the first ODI,though not in a convincing manner but they will try to put a much better show to take a firm grip in this 5 match ODI series.

While Winides will be hoping for a comeback to square this series.

In the first game, India’s disciplined bowling and Rohit Sharma’s laborious efforts helped them to secure a win.

Second ODI is at the same venue (Queen’s Park, Port-of-Spain) with the similar weather conditions and pitch.
The visitors without their big guns will believe that their B-string have all the fire-power to overshadow the host team.

Apart from Raina, Sharma and Dhawan none of the Indian batsmen looked comfortable on the pitch. The middle-order definitely needs to pile on more runs esp. the likes of Kohli and Badrinath.

Y.Pathan needs to fire with the bat, team needs more consistent performances from him rather than a blitzing knock once in a season.

They will look for sensible shots and good partnerships on the slow uneven West Indies tracks.

Bowling department looks well shaped up lead by Praveen Kumar, Patel and Harbhajan, who did a commendable job in the 1st ODI and not to miss out Amit Mishra, who bowled really well. They choked the flow of runs and took wickets at the regular intervals.

Another disappointing start for the Caribbean’s to start the series.

Their batsmen were culpable for the loss. They are clearly missing the IPL star Gayle; Winidies haven’t made a good start at top of the order only Sarwan and Samuels were among the runs and that too at very slow strike-rate. Bravo sr. put up some runs but lacked composure to score more. And the rests all felled like a pack of cards posting just a meager total.

Batsmen need to improve and stop themselves from playing rash shots to give away their wickets. Work more on partnerships with a healthy net-run rate.

Indian spinners gave them a tough time; they need to address this problem as soon as possible as coming back from 2-0 will be a mounting task.

West Indies will be hoping for the talented Darren Bravo to add on good runs under his belt.

Their bowlers put up a good fight reducing the Indian’s to 104/4.But then also they never looked on top in the game.
Bishoo and Martin impressed on the sluggish surface, but the quicks were not able to keep up on the pressure.

India are unlikely to make any changes. Amit Mishra impressed enough to confirm his place and other failures are sure to get another opportunity to leave an impression as they are few more games to experiment with the bench.

West Indies on the other hand would love to bring back Pollard to give some strength to their middle order.

The visitors clearly have the edge and are likely to take a 2-0 lead but a spirited team effort from the hosts can put the Indian’s in trouble.
