New Delhi: Right to Information (RTI) activist Arvind Kejriwal today, the tenth day of Anna Hazare’s indefinite fast, said that they have become a victim of the internal politics of the Congress party.

Kejriwal squarely blamed Union Ministers Kapil Sibal and P Chidambaram for the breakdown. “Sibal and Chidambaram strongly opposed the talks process. Perhaps that is why the government took a U-turn on the issues we had (earlier) agreed upon,” Kejriwal said.

“We have become victims of internal politics of Congress. How many rounds of talks we have had with senior leaders like Kapil Sibal and Chidambaram but nothing has happened till now. Whom will we talk to?,” he added.

Insisting that the dialogue has to be with an honest mind, Kejriwal said the meeting should be recorded.

Kejriwal said that civil society representatives believed that the issues could be solved through dialogue but refused to commit if they would attend the fourth round of talks.

He also hinted at intensifying the protest against graft. “I think we will be intensifying the protest, we will be discussing on this with the core group.”

Pointing out at the government’s lack of initiative, Kejriwal said, “The government should tell us with whom we should talk to? They should come with authority?”

Addressing the media on Thursday, Kejriwal said we urge the government to take the path of dialogue. He also pointed out to the Opposition and said the BJP should clear its stand on the Lokpal issue.
