New Delhi: Social Activist Annah Hazare met the Prime Minster on Wednesday on the issue of the Lok Pal Bill. He, however, was not very satisfied with the meeting and described it as ‘bad’.
He reiterated the demand of a “joint committee of citizens and ministers for formulation of a strong Lokpal bill.” He further warned that agitations against corruptions would only intensify in coming weeks if adequate actions are not taken.
Hazare has threatened that if the PM does not take necessary actions to strengthen the proposed anti-graft legislation or the Lok Pal Bill by the month end, he would go on an indefinite hunger strike from April 5.
In his letter to the PM, the eminent social activist has demanded immediate steps for a committee with at least half of its members belonging to the civil society.
