Bengal Poll: Deadlock over

BeyondHeadlines News Desk

New Delhi:The deadlock over seat sharing in West Bengal is over. Congress has agreed on 65 seats, one more then TMC has originally offered. TMC will now fight on 229 seats.

Congress had earlier demanded at least 98 “winnable seats” and earlier today had even hinting of parting ways. The party, however, relented to defeat the bigger enemy and free the state from 34 years of misrule of the Left. Shakeel Ahmed, Congress leader in charge on the state called it a “negotiative settlement.”

The list of the name and seats would be announced later.
