Ali Gilani Continues to Remain Under House Arrest

Srinagar, Kashmir (KMS): Veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader Syed Ali Gilani remained under house arrest for the second consecutive day, today.

Gilani was scheduled to meet illegally detained Hurriyet leaders and activists lodged in Srinagar Central Jail. The spokesman of the forum patronised by him termed the house arrest as an indication of the authorities’ frustration.

The speakers at an all parties meeting held in Srinagar with the acting president of the Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith, Ghulam Rasool Malik, in chair stressed the need to continue collective efforts with unity to expose the killers of renowned Kashmiris like Mirwaiz Molvi Mohammad Farooq,  Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone, Qazi Nisar and Maulana Showkat Ahmad Shah.

The speakers included, APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Sheikh Muhammad Hasan, Bilal Ghani Lone, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi, Maulana Abbas Ansari, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Zafar Ahmad Shah and Hakim Abdur Rasheed.

On the other hand, two persons were killed and another was injured in an explosion at Jourian in Jammu. Indian troopers abducted and molested a girl in Marmat area of Doda.
