New Delhi: UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi today met PM Dr Manmohan Singh to discuss the stalemate on the Lok Pal Bill.
Gandhian Anna Hazare is on his fast unto death for an effective graft law, what he calls jan lok pal bill.
Pranab Mukherjee, Kapil Sibal, Ahmed Patel and Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister TKA Nair were also present at the meeting, the PTI reported.
Sonia Gandhi had yesterday appealed to Hazare to end his fast and assure him that his views would receive the Government’s full attention.
Hazare has called for the jail bharo andolan (fill jail movement) on April 12.
A scheduled meeting between Swami Agnivesh and Arvind Kejriwal and government’s representative Kapil Sibal has been postponed till 6 P.M.
