Chennai: Sushma Swaraj, the leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, has criticised the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi for distributing freebies to woo voters and making false promises.
Swaraj was speaking at a party rally in Coimbatore. She also ridiculed Dr Manmohan Singh for evading questions on corruptions. She also demanded “dignified” rehabilitation of displaced Tamils in Sri Lanka.
A total of 2,773 candidates are trying their luck for 234 assembly seats for the upcoming election.
