New Delhi: While Digvijay Singh might have drawn flaks from the opposition for saying “you cannot rule out anything” on possible links of hands of Hindu extremists in the Mumbai blast, rights activists and Muslim groups are requesting the media and the investigative agency to maintain restrain before passing value judgments without concrete evidence.

While offering “heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved and the injured in the Mumbai serial blasts,” Jamia Teachers’ Solidarity Association (JTSA), has demanded, “the perpetrators of this mindless violence be brought to justice swiftly.” It, however, cautioned, “There are early indicators though that this investigation will be marred by prejudiced investigating agencies.”

Faiz Ahmad Faiz of Vishwa Shanti Parisahd (World Peace Council) too had demanded a high level “fair and time bound enquiry.”

Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind and other Muslim organizations too have demanded that ‘judgments should not be passed’ without credible evidences.

Some Urdu papers, meanwhile, has also reported that a team of ATS investigators were also send to Malegaon, although there has been no confirmation yet.
