In response to an application filed by BeyondHeadlines under the Right to Information (RTI) Act, Delhi police say Shakar Pur is the capital’s most unsafe area and the congested Jama Masjid neighbourhood is among its safest.
Shakar Pur heads the list of ten police stations with the highest rates of crime.
As per the reply by the Delhi Police the list if ten police stations with maximum India Penal Code reported crimes are
1) Shakar Pur 2) Jamia Nagar 3) Jagat Puri 4) Uttam Nagar 5) IGI Airport 6) Prashant Vihar 7) Mandawali 8) Narela 9) Mehrauli 10) K.N. Katju Marg
Surprisingly JAMA Masjid police station is in lowest crime rate list. The least number of crime acts are reported at Indira Gandhi Airport metro police station. Lodhi colony police stayion comes next. At present there are 180 Police Stations in Delhi. Here is the list of ten safest police stations in Delhi

It should be noted that Jamia Nagar police station is at second position in terms of most reported crimes. The area us inhabited mostly by migrant muslim population.
