The cops seized 370 kgs ephedrine worth Rs. 125 Crores from the accused

Delhi : The Special Cell of Delhi police busted an international narcotic drug syndicate by arresting four members including a Nigerian national and two Delhi based pharma company traders.

The 370 kgs ephedrine drugs worth over Rs 125 cores in the international market have been seized from the accused’s possession.

Special Cell Busted An International Drug SyndicatesThe accused have been identified as Arther Fran (42) originally from Nigeria and currently residing in Shakarpur, Delhi, Sandeep Bansal (36) of Anand Vihar Colony, Kirshan Kumar (42) of West Nathu Colony and Mehboob Khan (68) from Thane in Mumbai.

The police claimed that the duo Mehboob and Arther were acting on behest of an international drug syndicate member Abu Daba alias Baba who is based in Dubai. While Sandeep and Kirshan are the pharma company traders in the capital.

The officials of the Special Cell got the specific information that Maheboob Khan was coming to deliver  big consignment of ephedrine drugs to Nigerian National in the area of Shakar Pur. However the a police team led by police inspector Attar Singh laid a trap near Mother Dairy road in Shakar Pur in the evening of June 15 and nabbed the duo.

The police recovered 340 kgs ephedrine from the possession of both the accused. During the interrogation the duo revealed that they are the part of a big international narcotics group which is involved in supplying of ephedrine.

Investigation also revealed that on May 31 , Drona, an important member of the syndicate received a consignment of ephedrine from Bansal Pharma in Bhagirath Palace, Delhi and sent it same to Hapur, UP to deliver it to a buyer. But later Nigerian buyer insisted delivery in Delhi and consignment was brought to Delhi by Drona.  Mehboob Khan and his associate took delivery of the consignment of ephedrine.

Later police conducted a raid at Bansal Pharma, Bhagirath Palace and Sandeep was arrested along with 20 kgs ephedrine from his office. Kirshan who supplied this ephedrine to Sandeep also arrested from Chandni Chowk along with 10 kgs drugs. The further investigation is on.
