Hyderabadi Student Abducted and Raped for 17 months

Sadiya Mubeen, a polytechnic student from Hyderabad listed as missing person in government records since last year, has managed to brake shackles of a devilish man who allegedly drugged and abducted her, and then raped and tortured her for about 17 months.

The Santosh Nagar police has arrested Satya Prakash Singh, the owner of a canteen in Teegala Krishna Reddy College at Meerpet in Ranga Reddy District, for allegedly kidnapping and raping Sadiya in Hyderabad.

RAPE CAPITALEarlier, the local police interrogated Satya about the missing girl but he disclosed nothing. Now the police caught him after the statement made by the victim and sent him to the judicial custody.

“We have started a probe checking all the allegations of the victim,” Mr. K.V.M. Prasad, Inspector of Police, Santosh Nagar said in a statement.

“The accused has been arrested and sent to judicial custody. More facts will come out after a detailed investigation,” Mr. Prasad added.

Majlis Bachao Tahreek (MBT) leader Amjedullah Khan assisted the victim’s family in lodging compliant with police. The girl has been sent to Government Maternity Hospital for a medical examination.

Meanwhile, a Facebook page “Justice4Sadiya” was started by people demanding justice for her. The social network community is asking for stringent action against the culprit. The page is attracting hundreds of visitors. The issue is being debated seriously on the social network, with some questioning blackout of the story in mainstream media and by Urdu newspapers.
