NRI woman has taken her battle against “corrupt” Indian officials and the system to Raj Bhavan, where she protested for justice for her diseased father and unhealthy siblings.

Jyoti Ghag, a US citizen and daughter of a Maharashtra Police Officer, is fighting for justice for her deceased father and psychologically ill two brothers since 2003, with strong determination and tigress’ heart.

Jyoti GhagShe runs an NGO named “Corruption Roko”. Her battle is against “corrupt” judiciary, administration, Indian government, and external affairs ministry.

As of now, the matter is being dealt with by Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the US; India’s Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Income Tax Department and other agencies.

While supporting her cause, Member of Aam Aadmi Party (Maharashtra), Ravi Srivastava, said he was “genuinely impressed with this lady and her zeal to fight against corrupt system”.

Ms. Ghag has descended in India to take her battle forward, and recently launched a protest called “Shakti for Shaheed & Army Veterans”.

“She is now raking up issues like Junk Bullet proof jackets which caused the death of S/Shri Karkare, Ashok Kamte and Salaskar during 26/11 attack on Mumbai,” noted Mr. Srivastava.

“She is also raising issues of Capt Saurabh Kalia and soldier Bhausaheb Maruti Talekar of 17 Maratha light Infantry, who was beheaded on 27th Feb 2000 during Kargil War, and the Indian Govt. received only the torso of Sepoy Talekar, while Pakistanis played football with his head and presented it to their commanding officer as Trophy,” he added.

Ms. Ghag has been writing to concerned officials seeking appointment with them to pursue the cases, in addition to a protest organized at the Raj Bhawan along with her sister, mother of Late Sh. Talekar, AAP (Aam Aadmi Party), human rights activists and social activists.

“AAP always stand by those upright, Honest & brave citizens who fight with corrupt system, we joined her today at Raj Bhawan, where after protesting for 3 hours, Police realized that there is a ban from High court against protest at this venue, at around 1.30 PM we were packed in Police van and taken to Malabar Hills Police station,” Mr. Srivastava stated.

“Some of the other NGO who were protesting with us vanished from the scene, once the Police told them that we are being arrested.

“Once Police understood that there is no case against us they rushed us to Raj Bhawan in Police Vehicle to meet officials on duty one Ms. Ujjwala Dandekar & Sh. Mungekar, incidentally Dandekar had all the correspondence emanated from Jyoti and even US Government, they assured us of meeting of Jyoti with Governor at the earliest & action against officials in next week itself.”
