Minister Kicks off NACDOR’s Bundelkhand Vikas Adhikar Yatra

Minister Pradeep Jain Aditya flagged off NACDOR’s yatra to mobilize masses, gather their demands, and document their aspirations, especially of scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, women and other vulnerable sections. The yatra is expected to cover 500 villages in over a month, covering whole Bundelkhand Region in two groups, one travelling to the villages of 7 districts of Uttar Pradesh and the other 6 districts of Madhya Pradesh.

Bundelkhand Vikas Adhikar Yatra to write Manifesto for the Development of Bundelkhand

Jhansi – Union State Minister for Rural Development Mr. Pradeep Jain Aditya flagged off “Bundelkhand Vikas Adhikar Yatra” by National Confederation of Dalit Organisations  (NACDOR) today in Jhansi in presence of hundreds of people coming from all over Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

While appreciating the efforts of the National Confederation of Dalit Organisations, Minister Pradeep Jain asked organisation to share the people’s expectation with him and his Ministry enabling his to take them forward at his level. Mr. Pradeep Jain called this Bundelkhand Vikas Adhikar Yatra as historic for raising the demands for the development of Bundelkhand. He supported the idea of Bundelkhand Vikas Adhikar Yatra and particularly of gathering the aspiration and expectations of the Bundelkhand People by NACDOR to prepare Bundelkhand Vikas Ghoshanapatra (Manifesto for Development of Bundelkhand).

Union State Minister for Rural Development Mr. Pradeep Jain Aditya, NACDOR Chairman Mr. Ashok Bharti and NACDOR Program Director Mr. Ashok Sinha joined the Cyclist in the Yatra from Rashtrakavi Maithlee Sharan Gupt park to Ambedkar Statue in the city to encourage them.

While addressing the gathering ready for Yatra, NACDOR Chairman Mr. Ashok Bharti urged for the preparation of inclusive political manifesto of Bundelkhand Region.  Mr. Bharti asked the Bundelkhand Vikas Adhikar Yatra (BVAY) team to spend time with the villagers patiently and listen to their grievances, expectations and dreams and document them carefully so that an inclusive Manifesto for the Development of Bundelkhand become handy for all the political parties and people committed for the Development of Bundelkhand.

Mr. Ashok Kumar Sinha, NACDOR representative, informed that BVAY would cover 500 villages in more than a month and would be covering whole Bundelkhand Region in two groups, one travelling to the villages of 7 districts of Uttar Pradesh and the other 6 districts of Madhya Pradesh. Highlighting the purpose of the BVAY, Mr. Sinha said that the Yatra would mobilize masses, gather their demands, and document their aspirations, especially of scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, women and other vulnerable sections.  These would then be presented asBundelkhand Vikas Ghoshnapatra (Manifesto for Development of Bundelkhand) to the different political parties for their acceptance at the time of culmination of Bundelkhand Vikas Adhikar Yatra on 24th January 2014 in Jhansi.

Mr. Mukund Sarvade, Bundelkhand Representative, who would be coordinating the efforts of the Yatra from Jhansi, requested Media to support this endeavor of the people of the Bundelkhand. He assured to send daily updates of the Bundelkhand Vikas Adhikar Yatra to all concerned.

Bundelkhand Vikas Adhikar Yatra is comprised of a team of 25 bicyclists coming from eight districts of Bundelkahand. After the flagging off, the Yatra would be divided in two teams. The Uttar Pradesh Bundelkhand Team will have 15 members from five districts and Madhya Pradesh Bundelkhand Team will comprise of 10 members from three districts of MP Bundelkhand.

Responding to the query of next step to Bundelkhand Vikas Ghoshnapatra, the organizers informed that a team of 20 leaders of NACDOR would follow up in February 2014 and keep the people informed. This team will get in touch with each potential candidate for the 2014 Loksabha elections.
