Only 37 Muslim Candidates Selected in Civil Services

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday declared the results of the Civil Services 2015 examinations. TINA DABI has secured the top position in UPSC civil services examination 2015.  ATHAR AAMIR UL SHAFI KHAN and JASMEET SINGH SANDHU came second and third respectively in the examination.

A total of 1078 candidates have been recommended for appointment including 499 General (including 32 Physically challenged candidates), 314 Other Backward Classes (including 13 Physically challenged candidates), 176 Scheduled Castes (including 01 Physically challenged candidate) and 89 Scheduled Tribes candidates.

BeyondHeadlines also tried to collect all Muslim names from the UPSC result 2015 which has come today (10th May 2016).

It is pleasing that nearly 37 successful candidates are Muslims and of them in top hundreds are only one candidate. According to this list of 1078 candidates, 37 are Muslims which means that stands 3.43%. Last year, 40 Muslim candidates were successful in the UPSC examination out of 1236 who qualified.
