Jamia Alumnus Social Startup receives Award for contribution to the field of literature

New Delhi: YourVoice, a platform for the poets and storytellers has been awarded for its contribution to the field of literature during an event “Mehfil-E-Sukhan”. The event was jointly organised by the Hindi-Urdu Sahitya Sangh Chandigarh and Haryana Kala Parishad at Multi Art Cultural Centre, Kurukshetra, Haryana.

YourVoice has been organising poetry and storytelling events in multiple cities of India and different colleges providing opportunities to the aspiring poets with the reservation 50% slots for women performers in every event. This year in February 27, 2019, Your Voice has organised India’s first women literature festival “Raise Your Voice”.

YourVoice founded on June 1, 2018 is the brainchild of Md Khalid Hasan who is an engineering graduate from Jamia Millia Islamia.

“Soon we will be organising the poetry and storytelling events in villages of India as it has been seen that rural India has a lot of talented artists but they do not get any platform to showcase their talent,” Said Md Khalid Hasan, founder of YourVoice.
