23 Students from TV Journalism course of Hindi Dept. get placements in Media Houses

New Delhi: A total of 23 students of PG Diploma in TV journalism course run by Department of Hindi, JMI has got employment in various news channels. The successful students got placements in news channels like Zee News, India TV, TV9 BharatVarsh, ETV India and other channels in various capacities.

Dr Asif Umar, Course coordinator said that this year’s placement is higher than the previous year. He also said that this was possible because of up to date teaching methods and proper guidance from the teaching faculty from the university as well as people from media industry who from time to time mentored the students.

Hindi Department has been running this course for the last two decades and passed out students have been doing very well in the media industry, said Dr Umar.

While congratulating the successful students and the course coordinator Head of the Department, Hindi,  Prof. Indu Virendra said that this was possible because of active help and support of the Vice-Chancellor Prof Najma Akhtar. She also spoke highly about the efforts put in by course coordinator Dr Asif Umar.
