Telangana Mein Aman hai, Chain hai, Sukoon hai aur Barkat hai! Don’t Spoil this Atmosphere

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s ‘B’ Team Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) leader and Bhagyalaxmi temple hopper, K Kavitha, sermonized former Congress president Rahul Gandhi thus: Telangana Mein Aman hai, Chain hai, Sukoon hai aur Barkat hai (Telangana has peace, tranquility, and bounty). Kavitha mothered Rahul further: Don’t spoil this atmosphere. “You have no place in Telangana. That is why, Mr. Rahul Ji, we would like to call you only Election Gandhi, not Rahul Gandhi. This name, Rahul Gandhi, does not suit you when you come to Telangana. When you come to Nizamabad, consume Ankapur chicken, which is very popular here. We welcome you to come here as a tourist, and please go”, she advised. Perhaps Kavitha kept mum about ‘liquor’ and talked about chicken only as she was being watched by the Enforcement Directorate.

A resurgent Congress seems to be worrying Kavitha that her father, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, may not be ‘Raju’ (King) again. This election has come during a lunar eclipse. A political lunar eclipse cannot be ruled out, either. Kavitha chastised Rahul Gandhi for coming to Telangana. She alleged that Rahul has done nothing for the state, its farmers, or its students. She claimed that Rahul was also not part of Telangana’s “growth story”. She rightly reminded the Congress and claimed that communal riots broke out in states whenever the grand old party wanted to change chief ministers in the past in the United Andhra Pradesh.

However, Kavitha did not say anything about her communal fangs bared in January 2021 when she visited the Bhagyalaxmi temple abutting Charminar. This was after the previous incarnation of BRS when the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) could not single-handedly win the municipal elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). On a visit to Telangana, BRS ‘patron’ Narendra Modi disclosed that KCR wanted an alliance with the BJP in the GHMC. It is significant to recall that KCR and the BRS supported the Modi government in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to pass every anti-Muslim bill after taking votes from Muslims in 2014, 2018, and 2019. KCR’s backstabbing of Muslims is an open secret now. However, his Bhanja (Nephew) is still enamoured of his Naktey Mamu!

Kavitha’s visit to the Bhagyalaxmi temple was later followed by Home Minister Amit Shah. As Home Minister of the country, Amit Shah must know well that the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) said in its often-cited report that Bhagyalaxmi temple is an ‘illegal and unauthorized religious structure.’ On April 30, 2023, Hyderabad historian and heritage activist Dr. Mohammed Safiullah shared on social media two pictures of a clean Charminar without the Bhagyanagar temple. He claimed: ‘Both the above photographs of the iconic monument Charminar, from the late 1960s, taken by American photographers, give a clear view of the South Eastern Corner of the monument, where an illegal, unauthorized religious structure exists as per the written submission of the Archeological Survey of India (ASI), the official custodian of Charminar, since early 1950 AD. Apart from ASI, its parent ministry also clearly stated the same.’

When Rahul Gandhi visited Charminar for the commemoration of Rajiv Gandhi’s ‘Sadhbhavna Yatra,’ he did not visit the Bhagyalaxmi temple last year. However, Damodar Raj Narsimha of Congress had visited the Bhagyanagar temple earlier. The least Rahul Gandhi and Congress should do is not give the Assembly ticket to Damodar. If Congress gives him a ticket, the secular people should defeat Damodar just like they should defeat K. Kavitha in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls for a similar act.

Rahul Gandhi and Congress must assure the people of Telangana that, in the event of a Congress victory, RSS hothead A Revanth Reddy will not be made the Chief Minister of Telangana.
