Mumbai : Candidates who appeared for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) with Urdu medium deserve marks for errors in the question papers in recent TET exam. The candidates had to face many problems like wrong typing in the paper, accent mistakes, option and wrong translation etc.

President of Akhil Bhartiya Urdu Shikshak Sangathna Mr. Sajid Nisar Ahmed demanded that instead of 90 marks (60%) for qualifying the exam, the limit should be brought down to 50 marks considering numerous errors in the papers.

Mr. Ahmed requested Chief Minister Prithvi Raj Chavan and Education Minister Mr. Rajendra Darda that the passing marks be reduced for question paper errors. Also he asked for 43 marks as qualifying marks for differently-abled people.

The TET Exam was organized in Maharashtra on December 15, 2013. In that exam many mistakes were spotted in the question paper meant for the Urdu medium candidate.

Mr. Ahmed informed after the exam that meanings of many questions changed due mistakes in the paper.

Candidates faced numerous other challenges including little time for exam preparation, total details were not declared, unavailability of the complete syllabus, etc.

According to Mr. Sajid Nisar, The Exam Council which examines the status of the teachers has failed to maintain the status of its question papers.

There was many mistakes of options, wrong words and wrong questions with printing mistakes in Paper I (20 mistakes) and Paper II (40 mistakes) which lest candidates in bewilderment.

Many questions also were out of the syllabus. As well as, the issued answer paper also has many mistakes.

Exam Council has declared the answer key at www.mscepune.in and www.mahatet.in. Therefore, Mr. Sajid Nisar Ahmed, Mirza Salim, Sayyed Farooque, and others have appealed the candidates to send an email about the Urdu Medium question papers mistakes, objections, demands at mahatethelp@gmail.com.
