Girl among Fakhr-e-Malegaon Award Winners

Firdaus Jahan, a girl from Malegaon city, has bagged “Fakhre-e-Malegaon” Award this season. She is a young and first lady journalist from the city to receive the award in “Eductional Field”for her outstanding position.

Scientist and energy expert Haji Fayyaz Ahmed and Navy Marchant Murtuza Hasan were other persons who bagged this award for their contribution for the society.

The award ceremony was organized by the Madni Sports and Educational Social Welfare Society in CEO Hall, Malegaon under the Presidency of MLA Mufti Ismail Quasmi.

The awardees  were warmly welcomed by the organizers. At this occasion, they were also honored with the “Nishan-e-Imtiyaz” reward comprised of a certificate and a memento.

Scientist and energy expert Haji Fayyaz Ahmed expressed that the scientific inventions and development by Muslims is totally forgotten. He recalled his successfully completed electricity projects between 2002 to 2006.

He also thanked MLA Mufti Ismail for arranging the Competitive  Examination Organisation and the educational guidance training in this challenging times.

Journalist Firdaus Jahan noted that it’s an irony when two blasts happened in the city, people who died were Muslims and those who were accused and arrested were Muslims.

“It proves that we do not have our voice in the mainstream media. Because very few are concerned about our safety and ensure delivery of justice us,” stated Jahan.

She added that she chose journalism to make voice of Muslims heard. She urged Muslims to choose journalism as career and present right facts before people about Muslims.

While addressing the gathering MLA Mufti Ismail expressed that it’s everyone’s duty to struggle with hard, honestly and justly then rely in God for His help.

The organizer of the program also encouraged UPSC students.
