Mukhtar Alam one of more than a billion aam admi of India is running around from pillar to post to find out about his brother who went missing since 17th March, the day of Holi. Md. Istiyaq, 28 year Old Delhi based embroidery worker hailing from Bihar went missing from Sapt Kranti, a train from Muzaffarpur, Bihar to Delhi.

Aaa_0Mukhtar Alam said, “Ishitiyaque Alam, 28 years boarded the train at Motipur Railway Station, Bihar for Delhi on March 17 and was in touch on phone with his wife before Gorakhpur. He told his wife that his train will be reaching Gorakhpur Junction and he will call her after having dinner at around 19:20 hrs.”

After that last call the phone found switched off. He was not reachable since then and neither had he reached Delhi.

Adding to the misery, Police in Bihar and Delhi refused to register FIR when approached stating that the case does not belong to their Jurisdiction. Mukhtar Alam living in Delhi tried to convince the Police stations across the station only to get failure.

At last he was asked to write an application to the SHO of Motipur Police station and still struggling to get his complaint registered.

Gorakhpur is situated in Uttar Pradesh sharing border with Nepal. Government Railway Police data revealed the fact that every day a person goes missing from Railways.
