In a major breakthrough, Mahbubnagar police in Telangana State nabbed an alleged serial killer and thief M Yousuf from Chowdapur village of Kulkacherla mandal of Vikarabad district in the early hours on Wednesday.

The accused used to move like a Rambler, according to police. He allegedly had illegal contacts with women. He used to visit different areas in the guise of a painter. According to Rema Rajeshwari, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Mahbubnagar district, the accused’s modus operandi was to lure his victims by promising to show them hidden gold coins. He used to take the unsuspecting people to secluded spots in a pre-planned manner. He threw chilli in the victims’ eyes and smash their heads with boulders to kill them. He robbed the victims of their valuables and cash. He allegedly murdered and robbed more than a dozen people till date.

Four motorbikes, three mobile phones and cash Rs. 2,500 was recovered from Yousuf. Earlier, he was apprehended by Vikarabad police, Jadcherla police and Rajendranagar police.

Meanwhile, in another case a cross-dressing condom seller Manda Arjun was allegedly murdered by one Bharath Lal. The accused a native of Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh was working in a private company at Polepally SEZ.

The accused had planned a sexual rendezvous with the victim for a price of Rs. 400 at a bus station. He was enraged when he found out that the victim was actually a male who was dressed in woman’s top and leggings wearing a woman’s wig. In a fit of rage, he allegedly hit him, impeded his breath and killed him. He snatched back Rs 400 and stole his VIVO Andriod phone. He was arrested by a special crime investigation team and IT core team which traced him to Sagar in MP.
