AMU takes Disciplinary Action for Gross Misconduct and Indiscipline

Aligarh: The university wants to inform all concerned that Mr. Hamza Sufyan, Former Vice-President and Mr. Huzaifa Amir, Former Secretary of University Students’ Union were repeatedly committing acts of gross indiscipline and misconduct.

They have repeatedly misbehaved with functionaries of the university, including Dean Students’ Welfare, Dean Faculty of Life Sciences, Chairperson Department of Gynaecology, Provost Allama Iqbal Hall, Proctorial Staff, Registrar and the employees in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor and were warned regarding their misconduct and acts of indiscipline.

In view of the above, the university rusticated Mr. Hamza Sufyan from rolls of university for five years and has placed Mr. Huzaifa Amir under suspension with immediate effect.

Today, the above mentioned students went to Syedna Tahir Saifuddin School and misbehaved with the Principal and teachers of the school and forcibly brought school students to accompany them for demonstration in the Administrative Block.

They forcibly barged into the Administrative Block and broke down the gate and damaged the university property including security CCTV cameras, window panes, nameplates etc. They also stopped and surrounded the vehicle of the Vice-Chancellor when he was leaving the Administrative Block.

The university has suspended 10 students of Syedna Tahir Saifuddin School, according to the suspension order, issued by S.T.S. School administration, these students have been suspended from the school rolls with immediate effect till pending inquiry and the school campus will also remain out of bound for them during the suspension period.

The university also categorically denies baseless rumours regarding setting up of police post in the premises of the campus.

The university firmly warns miscreants of most stringent punishment for indulging in indiscipline and misconduct as per rules of the university.
