Amid Janta Curfew (the self-imposed curfew), the residents of Jamia Nagar clapped and rang thalis and shouted slogans against CAA, NRC and NPR as these are as deadly as COVID-19. This is an amazing as well as a creative idea for the protest against the new draconian and discriminatory citizenship law.

I personally believe that the Shaheen Bagh protest should be stopped until this CoronaVirusOutbreak gets over. Jamia has called off the protest, so considering the national health crisis Shaheen Bagh should at least postpone it. I am not advising you to stop protesting. There are many other ways of protesting.

Right now COVID-19 is a pandemic and a national health crisis for India. We all have to fight it first as it can come to our doors anytime if we do not take it seriously. It’s not moral to defy the lockdown as of now. Let’s not risk anybody’s life folks. You have already completed 100 days of protest and made world history.

23 March is the death anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, so use this important day in the national interest and at least stop it till 31st March.

Instead of sit in protest kindly get up from the protest site and go home with safety. What you can do is shout slogans from your balconies and terraces and register your protest while maintaining distance and ensuring others’ safety. Both Corona and CAA are deadly for this country. Stay safe and healthy. Respect your life.

Use the hashtag #AbHumBajayenge and share your photos and videos on social media. Let us all fight this together.
