UPSC Final Result Civil Services Exam 2012: Haritha V. Kumar Tops Exam

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the result of civil services examination 2012 on Friday.

Haritha V Kumar has secured the top position in UPSC civil services examination 2012. Sriram V and Stuti Charan came second and third respectively in the examination.

A total of 998 candidates have been recommended for appointment including 457 General (including 23 Physically challenged candidates), 295 Other Backward Classes (including 09 Physically challenged candidates), 169 Scheduled Castes (including 02 Physically challenged candidate) and 77 Scheduled Tribes candidates against 1091 vacancies ( 550 General, 295 Other Backward Classes, 169 Scheduled Castes and 77 Scheduled Tribes) for appointment to Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service, and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’. The result of 92 candidates is provisional and that of 3 candidates is withheld by UPSC.

The written part of Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2012 was held by the Union Public Service Commission in October, 2012 while interviews for Personality Test held in March-April, 2013.
