New Delhi: Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has expressed confidence that Japan will emerge stronger nation after the natural calamity that struck it recently.
During his telephonic conversation with his Japanese counterpart, Dr Singh renewed India’s support to Japan in this hour of crisis saying people and the government of this country stood solidly with Japanese people in this hour of grief.
He expressed deepest condolences at the loss of lives and property in Japan after the earthquake and tsunami. In a press release issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan expressed deep appreciation of India’s solidarity and support.
Earlier, similar sentiments were expressed by the Japanese prime minister in response to the letter of condolence sent by Dr Singh.
