Kolkata, West Bengal: A total of 300 candidates are in the elections fray in West Bengal after scrutiny of nomination papers for the second phase of election in the state.
Ten nominations were rejected after the scrutiny yesterday. Tomorrow is the last day of withdrawal of candidature for this phase of election. The second phase polls will take place in Murshidabad, Nadia, Birbhum Districts on April 23.
Meanwhile, filing of nominations is also on for the third and fourth phases of the elections. The campaigning for the first phase poll is gradually gaining momentum where voting will take place on April 18, covering six North Bengal districts.
