New Delhi: Expanding the ambit of its investigations in the black money case, the Enforcement Directorate today sought Home Ministry’s help to find out Hasan Ali Khan’s links with terror outfits, if any.

The Pune-based stud farm owner is under judicial custody over accusations of massive money laundering, tax evasion and for having multiple passports.
Khan’s alleged links with arms dealers and people linked to terror activities have also been under scanner, especially after the Supreme Court mulled invoking terror charges against him under anti-terror law Unlawful Activities Prevention Act and other stringent provisions of the Indian Penal Code.

Importantly, investigating agencies do suspect that Khan could have forged links with terror syndicates and gunrunners while laundering more than Rs 36,000 crore in overseas banks.

The most important association, which is under the scanner, is his links with big-time international arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi. It is feared that a portion of Hasan Ali’s money came from Khashoggi and Ali’s funds in Swiss Bank were the proceeds from weapon sales.
