Rajkot (Gujarat): Four suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack on RTI activist Bhagubhai Devani in Porbandar District, Gujarat.
Devani, an advocate by profession, was attacked by three unidentified men with a knife near his residence in Rajiv Nagar area. He has been fighting against illegal mining and construction and also filed a writ petition in Gujarat High Court in this regard, police said, adding that the attack was believed to be fall out of his protest.
Among those arrested are three men, who are believed to have attacked the activist, and the owner of a hotel which was allegedly constructed on illegal land.
Devani was admitted to a private hospital following the attack.
