Arabic Calligraphy and Art Exhibition of Siasat Art Gallery was inaugurated today by Ms. Sheela Dikshit, Chief Minister of Delhi. Expressing her Impressions about the Arabic Calligraphy Exhibition, she said that she was extremely happy to see this exhibition. She also told that she was most fortunate to inaugurate this Quranic Calligraphic and Art Exhibition.
Inviting the attention of Prof. Akhtarul Wasay, she said that arrangement must be made to organize such exhibitions outside Jamia Millia Islamia Campus. Prof. Akhtarul Wasay assured that he would organize this exhibition through Delhi Urdu Academy.
Mr. Najeeb Jung, Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi presided over the inaugural function.
This exhibition is organized in collaboration with Zakir Hussain Institute of Islamic Studies, New Delhi. The exhibition will continue upto 16th March at Maqbool Fida Hussain Art Gallery of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.
Arabic Calligraphers, Mr. Mohammed Nayeem Saberi, Shaik Mohammed Abdul Lateef Faroque, Mr. Syed Nasiruddin Viquar, and Mr. Abdul Naseer Sultan were also present on this occasion.
Mr. Mohammed Ismail Ahmed, Mr. sayeed Bin Nasir, Mr. Mazher Sayeed, Mr. Muneer Ahmed, Mr. Hayath Hussain Habeeb, Mr. M.N. Baig, Mr. Mohammed Abdul Faheem, Mr. Shaik Nizamuddin Laeeq(Photo Journalist of Siasat),Mr. syed Hamid Ali (correspondent of Siasat at New Delhi) and Mr. M. Shekhar made all the arrangements of the exhibition.
Prof Akhtarul Wasay, Prof. Zahoor Ahmed Zargar, Prof. Iqtidar Mohammed Khan, Mr. Tanveer Ali and Mohammed Arif of Jamia MIllia Islamia extended their cooperation in arranging the exhibits.
Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in India, H.E. Dr. Saud Mohammed Al-Sati was the guest of honour. The Ambassador of Bosnia also attended the Function.
Mr. Mohammed Mohsini Fard(Political Counsellor of Republic Of Iran at New Delhi) Mr. Shareef (Embassy of Algiers ) Mr. Syed Mujtaba Hashimi, Mr. Mohammed Saber Faheem, Ms. Surayya, Ms. Kareema, Ms.Lailama Noori( Kabul Times) also attended the function.
Mr. Syed Shahabuddin Former M.P. and Former Ambassador of India in Saudi Arabia, Staff and Students of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, Press reporters, Photographers and other dignitaries from New Delhi attended the function.
Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily, Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan Managing Editor of Siasat Daily and Mr. Amer Ali Khan, News Editor of Siasat Supervised all the arrangements of the Art Exhibition and welcomed the guests.
