SM Fasiullah for BeyondHeadlines

A Mumbai resident and customer of HP has alleged that the gas distribution company has diverted one subsidized cylinder from his quota.

As per the government rule, Nalla Sopara was eligible for five subsidized gas cylinder from September 2012 to March 2013. However, the customer said that he utilized only four cylinders during the period and the fifth one was issued on his name, which he did not receive.

The complaint registered by the customer with HP and his cylinders used record, which are available with BeyondHeadlines, show the misuse of the fifth cylinder in particular and the government scheme in general.

“As I felt that somebody is misusing the scheme by getting subsidized cylinder & trying to pocket the subsidy which is a NATIONAL CRIME, I lodged a complaint in HP portal on 04 April 2013 at 13:25 hrs,” the Mumbaikar said.

“My complaint was closed in a hurry without even going through the same at 14:40 hrs. I believe HP is also involved in this.”

The customer has raised a question, “why a cylinder was booked in my name & diverted to somebody.”

“They must have done same by booking in many cases to pocket the subsidy. This is nothing but DAYLIGHT ROBBERY of National exchequer,” he grilled.

The issue requires immediate attention of concerned authorities who should check how many such customers are deceived.
