Dr. Mahamoodur Rahman Committee, formed to study the socio, economic and educational conditions of Muslims in Maharashtra, has shown the deteriorating conditions they are living in. But Mr. Arif Nasim Khan, Minister of Minority affairs in Mahrashtra’s wealth of , is growing like anything.

Affidavit submitted to Election Commission of India, shows the information about nearly all the political leaders recorded the growth of his assets exponentially. His asset worth Rs.77 lacs in 2004, grew to more than Rs.4 crore in 2009. It’s being shown in the Affidavit  submitted to the Election Commission (EC) as he is in building construction business.

BeyondHeadlines is in possession of documents which proves that he submitted wrong information to election commission about his educational qualification.

It is alleged that his educational qualification is merely 3rd standard Pass. The discrepancy can be found on the website of Election Commission. His education qualification is going down every 5 years. During the 10th Vidhan Sabha of Maharashtra i.e. during 1999 to 2004 his qualification is shown as 10th Passed in his submission, where as in 11th Vidhan sabha i.e. in the year 2004 to 2009 its 8th Passed. Instead of going up the ladder, in 2009, his qualification went down to 5th Passed.

The school leaving certificate that Arif Nasim Khan has enclosed while filing the nomination to the election commission showed that he is 9th pass. Whereas, Mumbai based social activist, Mr. Akram Qureishi, alleged that the Shri Krishna Vidya Niketan High School at that time was till 3rd standard.

Affidavit  submitted to the EC, shows that in 2004 Mr. Arif Nasim Khan, he had been chargesheeted for a forgery case under IPC Section-468 , charges of forgery for the purpose of cheating and IPC section 471, using as genuine a forged document.

Although in 2009 it shows that there is no criminal cases are registered against him.
