Vice Chancellor of Hyderabad’s EFL University Prof. Sunaina Singh has suspended Deputy Registrar (Finance) Mr. Rasool Saheb for his official support to CAG officers as required by the duty in a case wherein he has to provide information on her financial irregularities to CAG. Civil Liberties Monitoring Committee expresses its deep concern over the anarchy and autocracy of English and Foreign Languages University Vice Chancellor Prof. Sunaina Singh. It is to inform you that deputy finance officer has come under the target of VC only because of cooperation and coordination with CAG officials as it is the part of his duty. The matter came to our notice that Prof. Sunaina Singh has strong objection on providing the details of her financial irregularities to CAG. Since then she started harassing and torturing Mr. Rasool Saheb, in different ways.
As per the complaint received from the Deputy Registrar (Finance), Dr. Rasool Saheb, he is mentally and physically harassed by the Registrar I/c Prof. Madhavan, by forcefully confiscating his room without any valid reason that too on the orders of VC. The worst matter is that VC Prof. Sunaina Singh and Prof. Syed Sayeed who holds various positions leaving apart his teaching work, are commenting on his religious rights i.e. Namaz and Quraan. They are raising objection on Namaz and passing comments on it.
As per the latest information, today he is suspended without any valid reason by just stating that on the basis of partial report submitted by the enquiry committee (on Mr. Rasool) he is suspended from the duty. Actually it is the revenge action of VC against Mr. Rasool only because she suspects that he has provided all the files and papers of financial irregularities and illegal financial claims by some of the officials of the University. It is also to inform you that the financial irregularities are widely published in the Andhra Pradesh newspapers.
Due to all these things, and many more he is hurt severely, his health has deteriorated and he is in deep depression. This committee believes that whatever is happening with Dr. Rasool is grave violation of human rights and civil liberties and also the violation of fundamental rights laid in the constitution i.e. Article 21 which assures the right to life with human dignity.
Therefore, this committee requests the Comptroller and Auditor General of India to intervene into the situation because Mr. Rasool has become the target of the administration due to cooperating and coordinating with the CAG officials. Therefore, it is your responsibility to come forward to save the life and liberty of a person for obeying the orders of the CAG officials and extended support and coordination. We herewith request you to conduct high level enquiry on EFLU VC under the direct supervision of CAG. As per the sources, bundle of financial scams will be exposed if enquired. We also request you to order the concerned authorities to protect the life and liberty of Mr. Rasool who is under shock due to this untoward incident of humiliation by VC.
We caution you that anything unwarranted may happen with Mr. Rasool, so we request you to protect his life and human dignity because he became the scapegoat only because of obeying the CAG.
