Some are born great and some achieve greatness. A girl with 40% disability from Delhi is among those people who are achieving greatness through their hard work. Shivali Malhotra, a B.Com (Honors) Final Year student of Lady Shri Ram College for Women (Delhi University) has been selected as a delegate for ROME Model United Nations Conference Organized by United Nations.
The 21 years student and activist, who’s young and dynamic, has a passion to change India in a positive way and bring name to the country abroad. She already works for peace with a small NGO in Delhi and teaches kids in orphanage.
She got a full scholarship for the ROME MUN conference to speak at the event. The organizers of the conference have offered conference fee and accommodation, but travel and visa charges are at her expense. Now she’s feeling it difficult to arrange for travel ticket and visa expenses.
Appeal in her own words: “I want you to help me in my need of money because this is an opportunity for me to change my life and make people know being disabled I did everything for myself.”
BeyondHeadlines (a Public Media Platform, is run by INSAAN International Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation) requests all its readers and their friends to help this girl so that she could go to Rome and represent India, and talk about peace between India and Pakistan among many things. She is in need of 1000$ (Rs. 60,000/) for her airfare expenses from Delhi to Rome both the sides plus Visa expense.
