Inter University Cultural Festival “MIRAAS 2014” at Jamia

The Cultural Committee at Jamia Millia Islamia is going to organize a three-day Inter University Cultural Festival “MIRAAS 2014” from February 24-26, 2014.

The festival shall be formally inaugurated by Prof. S.M. Sajid, Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia on February 24, 2014 at 10 AM in Dr. M.A. Ansari Auditorium, Jamia Millia Islamia.

A large number of students from Universities and Colleges across Delhi/NCR and outside NCR are expected to participate in the events.

The Universities/Colleges that have confirmed their participation in “MIRAAS 2014”, among others, include Aligarh Muslim University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, St. John’s College, Agra, Kurukshetra University, SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai, Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, Chaudhary Devilal University, Sirsa, Haryana, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, GP Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, JNV University, Jodhpur, and 29 colleges of Delhi University.

Some of the events in the Festival include Indian Vocal (Solo), Business Idea Competition, Poetry Composition & Recitation (in Urdu, Hindi & English), Indian Vocal (Group), Management Guru (Case Study Competition), Western Vocal (Solo & Group), National Trilingual Debate, Creating Writing Competition (in Urdu, Hindi & English), Mimicry Competition, Baitbaazi Competition, Ad Mad Competition, Folk Dance Competition among others.

The events of “MIRAAS  2014” will be held at the Dr. M.A. Ansari Auditorium, Seminar Hall of FTK-Centre for Information Technology, Nelson Mandela Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution.

The Valedictory and Prize Distribution Function will be held on February 26, 2014 at 5 PM in Dr. M.A. Ansari Auditorium, Jamia Millia Islamia.
