Jamia to host ‘Global Health Zenith: Confluence-19’ on medical infrastructure planning

New Delhi: Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), will host two-day conference Global Health Zenith: Confluence’19 (GHZC’19), in collaboration with Dharamshila Narayana SS Hospital, New Delhi from October 05, 2019.

The central theme of the discussion is ‘Catalysing the efficient planning of Medical Infrastructure’.

It will be followed by a series of workshops and training programs from October 9-13, 2019.

This is the second edition of the Confluence where healthcare and architecture sectors have come together to discuss healthcare infrastructure planning. 

Doctors, engineers, architects and planners, administrators and quality managers will come together to discuss better planning to have better facilities in healthcare infrastructure that will compete with modernising environment and standards, evolving technologies and specialised patient needs. The Confluence aims at addressing expectations of patients for better treatment facilities as well as rising treatment costs. 

Dr Harshwardhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Prof. Najma Akhtar, Vice-Chancellor, JMI, Mr. A. P. Siddiqui (IPS), Registrar,  Dean, Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics, Head, Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics, JMI and many renowned speakers from WHO, Dharamshila Narayana SS Hospital, Apollo Hospital, Rainbow Hospital, GE Healthcare  and NIDM (Ministry of Home Affairs) will attend the inaugural session on October 05, 2019 at 09:30 am.

The Confluence will not only witness lectures by eminent speakers but also a myriad of competitions including those of healthcare design, photography, poster design and research videos.

A total of 300 delegates and 200 students from across 12 states are expected to attend Confluence. Over 60 world-renowned speakers from 5 countries, 10 keynotes and special address, 06 panel discussions, and 35+ training hours in addition to medical infrastructure Expo.
