New Delhi: David Mulford, former US ambassador to India, declined to comment on the recent WikiLeaks exposé, but assured that reports from the “US Embassy, in general, are accurate.”

Speaking from London to CNN-IBN’s ‘The Last Word,’ the former ambassador in the thick of the controversy after Wikileaks revelations, said, “I simply have nothing to say.”

When probed further by the programme host Karan Thapar about his junior colleague Steven White’s remark and if White got it wrong or perhaps “concocted,” Mulford replied: “Certainly, the reports from the US Embassy, in general are accurate reports… (but) I have nothing to say on this particular subject.”

He also cleared his stand on possible coercion of US Embassy on voting against Iran and said that, he or the US government was only trying to convince the Indian government about possible outcomes of the event and that final decision was to be taken by the Indian side.
